First, a little about me. I have a wonderful (nearly) 9 month old little boy that I have lovingly nicknamed Squeak, two fur babies, and a supportive husband, and I love anything to do with crafting!
Just so you can get an idea of my style, here are a few of my recent finishes:
Now, what you really want to know...
I decided to have two giveaways. One for handmade items and one for supplies.
To enter simply leave me a comment telling me what attracts you to a blog. Is is a certain layout, a blog that has tutorials, or simply one that is your "style" that you can draw inspiration from?
Followers get an additional entry. Just leave a separate comment to let me know you follow my blog :)
International entries welcome!
Good luck everyone, don't forget to check out all of the other giveaways out there, and I hope you get lots of goodies!
Similar interests and blogs that help me stretch my limits.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I follow a blog because of the visual inspiration it provides me. Usually its the blogger's color and fabric selection and how they use them in their designs.
ReplyDeleteI do like how a blog looks, not too busy or cluttered looking, but asides from that I like blogs that have similar interests and projects that I like to make. I also think that a lot of blogging is the back and forth and conversation between bloggers, and sometimes I've gotten to know people that I never thought I would!
ReplyDeleteI like and agree with Heather's response!
DeleteLots of pictures and a good design always help to draw me in, but it's the content that keeps me around.
ReplyDeleteBlogs with my style to draw inspiration from is definitely my number one. Pictures, tutorials, quirky stories are also good. A modern and fun layout is nice, but not necessary. Content is more important.
ReplyDeleteWhat attracts me to a blog are very simple tutorials and a sense that the blogger is a caring sort x
ReplyDeleteI like lots of pictures and tutorials. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like finding brand new blogs and getting in on the ground floor. Big/well established blogs are nice, too, but there's something more real and personal about a small blog where someone is just showing off their stuff and doing their thing without constantly worrying about getting followers or re-tweeting blogs and all that.
ReplyDeleteI also like pics. Lots of pics.
(your giveaway is right up my alley--love those fabrics)
I like nice clear pictures and projects that I'd like to make! Thanks for the give away!
ReplyDeletemostly ones that are my style with tutorials :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to stick around the clean cut blogs, business turns me away.
ReplyDeleteCute fabrics!
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's all about great pictures.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I love tutorials and I`m drawn to blogs that give me lots of inspiration for what I want to make and uses fabrics I like.
ReplyDeleteI like tutorials and good pictures. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhen i first go to a blog, usually from these giveaway days, I look at the overall look. Catchy name, pretty colors and overall style. Then if it catches my eye, I look around, read a few entries, see if I like what I read. Then if I like it, I subscribe by email.
ReplyDeleteSimilar styles and tutorials.
ReplyDeletei love clean, easy to navigate pages!

Very visually inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I love blogs that have their labels/categories clearly listed. Easy to read is big. Your layout is great, but honestly the font is kinda driving me batty. (Sorry!!) Style is important, although I do follow a few blogs that make things I never would, just because they seem like fun people. Speaking of style, I *love* your black and yellow quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's both tutorials and inspiration from posts.
ReplyDeleteI love a clean blog - space for the eye to rest and NO ADS!!! I love this giveaway - looks like some terrific fabric! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay - I am a new follower. I will enjoy snooping around you blog soon!!

ReplyDeletefor me its the way someone blogs, how they talk about things, not all fabric but lets us take a peek into your life
ReplyDeleteI love lots of tutes, finished quilts to admire, great pictures and a sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteI like blogs that have quality writing. Good photos, good fabric picks, good project tutorials...that's all lovely, but good writing means the most to me.
ReplyDeleteTutorials and pictures help, but it's really the person doing the writing. I follow blogs of different kinds (although a lot of sewing) and those I've followed the longest consistently post and have their own voice. Thanks for the give away!
ReplyDeleteI love helpful tutorials, great pictures, and humorous style of writing. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteClear, easy access to items on the main page.
ReplyDeleteTutorials that are easy to get at....clean design.
ReplyDeleteI like a clean, clear blog. Large photos that are clear. Sharing of works in progress - not just finishes. Some common interest attracts, but I really like it all so I have a mix of blogs I follow.
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials with great photos.
ReplyDeletei love sewing
ReplyDeleteLayout, photos, and interests.
ReplyDeleteI like blogs that have unique tutorials and are simple to look at with beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love blogs with lots of beautiful photos. I definitely judge based on the photos. I also like to see modern fabrics and projects that I would like to make myself. Tutorials are also a big plus. I'm sure it's a lot of work with a 9 month old. (I have an 11 month old myself and blogging is always second to actually sewing when I have a free moment as he naps.)
ReplyDeletelots of pictures!!! thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOn that has good pictures and crafts that I like.
ReplyDeleteI love blogs with photos of projects and tutorials. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteStyle and inspiration, as well as a clean design. I make clothes for my daughter, so any blog that meets those first two criteria and does a healthy amount of children's clothes is a win.

ReplyDeleteMostly just my "style"--but it has to be uncluttered.

ReplyDeleteGood tutorials and nice photos.
ReplyDeleteFor me it is the bloggers style which becomes evident in layout and posts. I love photos and also personal insights into a bloggers life so I am attracted to blogs that contain these elements.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's mainly the pictures that draw me to a blog. The style but the size as well matter.
ReplyDeleteHow easy or difficult it is to read the blog is also an important factor.
A fussy, cluttered layout and illegible font doesn't attract me.
Great giveaway! Thank you!
what gets me to subscribe to a blog's feed is a combination of the ideas offered (tangible or not), the writing, and a kindred style to mine.
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials and they always make me come back to a blog. Thanks for the chance!

I'm a new follower!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt would first be the look, is it bright and cheery. Then lots of pictures, whether of you and your family or of project and ALWAYS well organized. I don't want to search for things on the blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat originally attracts me is probably the reason I'm there.. I searched for something or saw a Flickr photo. What makes me subscribe is that it's something inspiring, unique, and good that I want to learn from or make a version of my own. A good blog style helps!
ReplyDeleteI love when bloggers post tutorials. I also love looking at finished projects to get inspiration.
ReplyDeletemframe00@gmail.com
Having unique, fun tutorials and an eye pleasing lay out draws me to a blog. Honestly, I also find many new blogs to follow via the Sew Mama Sew give-away day. I love how it leads me to blogs I have never seen before!
ReplyDeleteturtle tote bags (at) yahoo (dot) com
I love blogs that show lots of crafting pictures. I also like blogs that have some tutorials. Anything that can help me become a better quilter!
ReplyDeletePhotographs -- clean, bright, uncluttered photographs. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI can rarely resist a post about scraps! When I go thru my Google Reader, I also look for what seem to be thought provoking (meaningful) posts, as well as posts that seem to indicate the writer is having a hard time (sick pet, cannot decide on border fabric, illness etc). I click on all of those topics, as well as news about tutorials for gift items .
ReplyDeleteI am a regular follower with Google Friend Connect.
ReplyDeleteI like blogs that are easy to read and have some tutorials.

ReplyDeleteI'm a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI love a blog with tutorials, but what I love most is a quirky sense of humor that's fun to read each day. :)
ReplyDeleteFree tutorials are always happy-making to find, particularly ones that fit into the style of things I make. People can also overcrowd their blog with buttons, links and general flashing glittery bits that detract from what is actually written there. I like how clean and simple in style yours is!
ReplyDeleteI am attracted to blogs with lots of crafty pictures
ReplyDeleteThe writing, photos, types of projects. If I had time I would probably follow 2-3 times the number I do.

Then for those times where not much project is getting done, I like little posts on the funny little things happening in someones life or even small posts with pictures on something that is inspiring you.
